What are the objectives of PSQCA?
Being a National Standard Body of Pakistan the main objective of PSQCA is to develop Pakistan Standards related to services and product and also provide certification of mandatory articles products and process under Certification Marks Scheme of PSQCA.
How many components of PSQCA?
The PSQCA has three main components: Standards Development Centre (SDC), Quality Control Center (QCC), and Technical Services Centre (TSC).
Is PSQCA attained the membership of Global Standard Organizations
Yes, the PSQCA is a member of several International Standards Organizations including International Organization for Standardization (ISO), International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), International Organization for Legal Metrology (OIML), PSQCA as National Standards Body is also represented in World Trade Organization (WTO) on TBT agreements.

The Standards development by the PSQCA is based on the Pakistan Standards Rule 2008.

What is Voluntary Certification?
Voluntary Certification Division of PSQCA was established in 2006 to facilitate the stakeholders those are manufacturing different kind of products and do not fall under the Mandatory items list.

Import & Export
Is PSQCA authorized to check the Quality of Imported/Exported Items?
Yes, PSQCA is also functioning as an inspection body under Section 8 Sub-section II of PSQCA Act, 1996. The inspections are being conducted according to ISO 17020 for Pre-shipment and Post-shipment at different entry points of Pakistan (i.e. Sea Ports, Dry Ports, Airports). Import Policy Order 2016, Section 5-B-II also defines the regulatory requirement of Government of Pakistan.

The Quality Control Centre (QCC); working as a multifunctional testing laboratory and offers testing services in the field of Food, Materials, Papers & Textiles, Microbiology, Water testing, electrical, mechanical and civil.
What are the testing facilities provided by QCC?

How much Sample Quantity and Duration required for Testing?

Is PSQCA Laboratories are accredited?
Yes, the total eight sections of QCC-PSQCA laboratories are accredited and equipped with state of the art facilities and latest equipment. The names of laboratories which are being accreted are: Microbiological Laboratory, Building Materials Laboratory, Microbiology Laboratory, Sugar Testing Laboratory, Oil & Fat Laboratory, Water & Beverages Laboratory, Metallurgical Engineering and Services Division (Chemical).

What are the services providing by TSC?
The Technical Service Center (TSC) of PSQCA is mainly providing Quality Control & Quality Assurance Services to the Metal/Allied Industries and also providing Solution(s) of Technical problems being faced by the Metal Industries.
What are the Laboratory/ Workshop Facilities Providing by TSC?
The Technical Service Center of PSQCA is providing testing facilities in following ten sections: Melting and Casting of Metal and Alloy products, Sand Testing Lab, Heat Treatment Lab, Metal Working (Forging & Rolling) Shops, Sample Preparation and Maintenance Shop, Mechanical Testing, Metallography Testing, Chemical & Instrumental Analysis, Non-destructive Testing, Investment Casting Facility.
