Pakistan Standards and Quality Control Authority (PSQCA) has recently launched Foreign Manufacturing Licence (FML) scheme for foreign manufacturers to get certify their products in Pakistan to facilitate the trade.
This Scheme is third party product certification based on ISO/IEC 17065, ISO/IEC 17067 and Pakistan Conformity Assessment Rules, 2011. In this scheme foreign manufacturers are permitted to apply the Pakistan Standards (PS) Mark on the product after ascertaining its conformity to the Pakistan Standard Specification.
In FML scheme, Licencee can use the Pakistan Standard (PS) Certification Mark on their products subject to fulfillment of requisite conditions/regulations.
This Scheme is only for manufacturers of compulsory and voluntary products and not for traders who purchase products form open markets.
